Unfortunatly, our "Fred" Tabberts are not the same. My great grandfather was born 23 May 1847 in Marienwalde, Brandenburg Prussia and came to the United States aboard the Elida in 1856. He settled in Ohio. His father, also named Carl Friedrich, was born 18 Oct 1812. He had two daughters that settled in Labette County Kansas. In doing my research, I constantly am seeing the same names. This makes connecting all the dots quite difficult. Good luck with your research.
