I am trying to locate any birth, baptismal, or census information (prior to 1920) on ERNEST HERSHEL TABER (TABOR), my paternal grandfather, BORN/11 AUG 1901 (1899 or 1900) IN CHICO, WADE, TX - FATHER JAMES WILLIAM TABER and MOTHER KATHERINE LOUTILDA WHATLEY.
I have a great deal of information that I have obtained from the Rail Road Retirement Board but all of the information about his birth, parents, and life prior to employement with the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad, was submitted to them by him. I am unable to find anything that would prove this information correct.
He first appears in the census in 1920 in Texaco, New Mexico, married.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
