I am researching the Tebo family. I cannot get beyond 1834 in Decatur County Indiana when George "Teboe" (born between 1801 and 1809 in Va) married Nancy Brockman. The spelling of the name is said to have been changed and was later spelled and misspelled Tebo and Tebor. This family lived in Decatur County Indiana until about 1839 and are next seen on the 1840 Brown County Ill. census. Many of the Brockmans moved to Illinois as well.
Since you also have a Brockman connection
I thought I'd see if you knew if perhaps the original spelling of Tebo was Tabler. I am keeping my fingers crossed since I don't know George's parents names. Also, my grandfathers name was Leonidas, sorta similar to Leonhardt. That's pushing it I know, but it helped to find the Brockman connection since Brockman was his middle name. At this point I have to pursue everything that seems logical.
