Thanks for the email.
My William Tabor was in Montgomery County by 1782 but there was another William Tabor who married Nancy Fraley who lived in Russell County in 1790's. A claim in Russell County court was made against his estate in 1805 so it is assumed he died about that time. We beleve this to be the son of the William of Montgomwery County, VA. I have heard of the William who came to Jackson County, IN in the early 1800's but since the William, Jr., of Russell County died, I do not think they are the same person. I have researched all the available records of Russell and Montgomery County, VA, in the late 1700-early 1800's and would be glad to share that research with you.
I am directly descended from William to Daniel (1794-1855) to Augustus S.(1835-1908) to Jasper N. (1875-1939) to Omer A. Tabor (1899-1978), my father. He came to Indiana in 1940 after marrying my mother.
