Hello Sam,I only come on to the site every now and again and was reading your message dated 25 may 2001 so you may well be aware of the following by now; You mentioned the name Dalton.A William Tacey married a Rebecca Dalton, 9th June 1794. at Welton with Melton in Yorkshire, England.There may be a connection!Welton is close to Hull.Tacey/ Tacy etc settled in North Lincolnshire,North Notts, Nottingham and Leicester Area's but they travelled and settled all over.I see also on this site that a John Tacy was born about 1760 in Barkby, Lancaster, England and married a Mary Bishop 9th May 1796 so the Clans been there before,hope it was of use.
