Biographical Memoir of St Clair Co had some info on TACEY family Here it is: Joseph Tacey born July 12, 1833 St Lawrence Co., NY Siblings Margaret (she married Freeman Young), Mary, Liuvie ?, and Frank. Joseph Tacey's parents were Frank Tacey and Julia Vassar she died 1836 and he then married Mary Foey.
Joseph Tacey married a Julia Compo of Roxboro, Que she died 1867. He then married Margaret Wamsley of Norfolk Co., Canada in April 1871. Came to MI 1862. This Joseph Tacey enlisted Sept 1864 22 MI Vol Inf civil war.
I'm not related to this line, but got interested due to posting of them changing name spelling. My YOUNG surname was GANNON and other variation starting with G and no where near spelling of YOUNG as they were known in MI!
