The information about Catherine V. Tacey being assoicated with the surname "King" was very interesting. On my grandfather's death certificate, it lists their mother as having the maiden name "de Kenig." He died of meningitis and my grandmother had never met his parents. Thus, any spelling of the name was dubious. I do not have any background in Dutch, BUT I did live in Germany for several years. As soon as I saw "de Kenig," I thought of the German word "Konig" which means KING! I'll bet that was a lot easier identification for Catherine than Van den Heurk. (Her parents had been married a number of years at the time of her birth.)
