I have found my great great great grand mothers surname spelled all of these ways. on her tombstone it was tessier, in vermont records and church records there it was the other spellings. All that I know about her is that she was born sept 1833 in Canada. She married Jeremiah Des Roches (Stone, was what it became in vermont to anglicanize)I dont know where in Canada they were married or born. None of the Vermont records indicate other than Canada. I have been searching out this line for over 20 years and I am still stumped. This is my Surname and I cant even get these stones out of Vermont! I do know that the stones tie in with the Charlands. On what I believe to be Jeremiah's brother John Pierre Stone, it lists on his death certificate that his parents were Pierre Des Roches and Jennie Dufresne. But I have still come up with nothing. If any one has any suggestions or information I would be most greatful! I in exchange can do look ups for any one who needs marriage information for quebec and clinton county ny. I have the books from benoit pointbriand . If you would like to see a list of these or the other surnames that I have, please take a look at my webpage at http://turningstonegenealogy.bravehost.com

thank you
tina
