Searching for any info on Elizabeth Tackles, born March 24, 1743 in Palmer, Hampden County, Massachusetts. I do not know her death date, but she died in Onslow, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She married Ephriam Scott about 1765 in Onslow. He was born about 1744 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. He died August 12, 1841 in Onslow, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada. He and Elizabeth had 4 children: Hugh, Ephriam, William, and Alexander. I am descended from their son William who married Esther Pitt Whippey, daughter of William Pitt Whippey and Ruth Hoar.
All I know about Elizabeth's parents is that her father was William Tackles (Tackels?), born about 1723 in what is now Northern Ireland. He married Jean ?. They had 7 children: Mary, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Christian (female), James, Hugh Easter, and Alexander.
William and his father, Alexander came from Ireland in 1732 to Palmer, Hampden County, Massachusetts.
Any info on Elizabeth, William, or Alexander is greatly appreciated. I will share what info I have with anyone interested.
Thanks!
