Kelly, There is a wealth of information about Heinrich Tesch on the web already. Peggy Tesh's (of Winston Salem) home page is quite extensive. I'm not sure how she came about her information, but when I was about 13 years old, a brother and sister (Tesh) lived in Old Salem and Ms Tesh had most of the same info at that time which, years ago, she had completed as a favor by Old Salem Historian Adelaide Fries (Bishop Fries daughter if I'm not mistaken). Heinrich was my eighth great grandfather and his father, Johannes Nicholas
Tesch was the major of the city of Kultz (Cultz) from 1684 to 1724. I was able to confirm this information while in the Air Force stationed in Germany in the early 80's. In 1988, I had my name legally changed as a measure of presuring our rich family history. During that time, also, an Alice Tesh of Qunicy Washington commissioned professional searches in Germany and this is also how I came about much of the information that I have. Hope this helps. You will also find it interesting, if you haven't already, to read about Heinrich and others in the Records of the Moravians in North Carolina (a.k.a. The Moravian Diaries). H.P.T.
