This is for Kathryn and Helen: I want to thank you for both your posts. You have confirmed for me Anderson's my ancestor and given me new info on him. I just found out my GGgrandmother, Minerva Ann is his daughter. It's thrilling to find an ancestor this easily! We had no clue of his name. We thought is was Andrew and I found an Andrew on Milam Co., TX index. This may be why you have had a problem locating him in 1880. He is listed as "Andrew" not Anderson because his name is wrapped up but it is definitely Anderson. When I figured that out it was easy because her sister named one son Anderson Monroe Hardcastle. Then when you Helen listed the census of Perry Co. showing Darcus E., Minerva's sister Ellen Darcus it was definite!! Anyway here's the pertinent descendancy and census info: 1880 Milam Co., TX, 272/272 Thrailkill, And(on top: erson)WM 59 M Blacksmith, AL, AL, AL Nancy WF 58 wife Keeping house can'twrite, SC SC SC Stephen WM 16 son at school att school, W? And all the Hardcastle info. is on my website: Hardcastle Kinfolks http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hardcastle/ I am pretty sure the A M Thrailkill I show listed in a theft case is the same Anderson who would then still be alive living in Medina Co., TX 1884-1885. I do not know anything about Nancy or Stephen. Would love to learn all I can. Please reply to kkaela@aol.com, Thanks, Kelly
