For all you Throckmortons out there, this is the Virginia branch of the family.
There are two well documented branches of Throckmortons in the US both descended from different men named John Throckmorton who arrived approximately the same time (1630/1) in the US.
This is a genealogy of the VA branch and there is a NJ branch (also called MA of RI branch).
