Some further thoughts:

You indicated in your GenForum post that "my forefather Littleton Tingle grandson of Hugh Tingle and Elizabeth Powell was born in 1765 and married Mary in 1770, same family?"

My Littleton (born about 1766 probably in Worcheser Co., MD (now Sussex Co., DE) and died March 07, 1848 in Henry Co. KY) was married to Mary (maiden name unknown. Mary was born Abt. 1770 and was of Worchester Co., MD (now Sussex Co., DE). She died February 24, 1843 in Henry Co., KY.

I have Littleton the grandson of Hugh as being born Bet. 1714 - 1715. I have his date of death as 1752. I have his wife as Margaret Smith. His brother, Samuel (born Bet. 1713 - 1714) married Sarah _____. I have nothing more on that branch. I feel reasonably certain that my Littleton is a descendant of Hugh although we have not been able to determine exactly.

I think that your Littleton is the same person as my Littleton. However, he was born much too late to be the grandson of Hugh. I strongly suspect that my Littleton was a great grandson (or even possibly a great great grandson) of Hugh through his son Samuel. Samuel had two sons ... Samuel and Littleton. The most likely possibility is Samuel son of Samuel.
