Marintha Burris who married John Wallace didn't die in 1850. She in fact outlived her husband who died before 1860. Marintha is found in later census as a widow/head of household in the following census. Her name was hard to pick out in some of the census.:

1860 Census Tn Anderson County page 49a
Mallard Wallace 45 f farmer 400/300 TN*
Matlida 20 f domestic
Cynthia A 18 f domestic
William 17 m farmer
Alfred 15 m farmer
Amanda 12 f
Mary 8f
* name hard to read but indexer took it for Mallard.( Ancestry.com)

1870 Census TN Anderson County page 11

77/77 Wallace, Hollins 63 F Keeping House TN**
Sinthia A 25 F without Occup. TN
Amanda 23 F without Occup TN
Marintha J 5 F TN
James A 2 F TN
** age and First name of HOH are off for Marintha. Children fit and the families surrounding this family also fit.

1880 census TN Anderson County, TN 3rd district page 31b
221/222 Marintha Wallace 68 widowed keeping house TN/TN/TN
Cynthia A dau 32 at home TN/TN/TN
Marintha J 15 gr-dau housekeeper
