I am trying to find what, if any, connection there might be between Talitha Massengale Reed (b 1842) and John O. and Mary Duncan Massengale. Talitha married Julian Reed in Scott Co., TN in 1860. John and Mary Massengale, in their mid-forties, appear in the 1860 Scott Co., TN census with several children. Talitha appears with husband Julian Reed in 1860. I can find neither Talitha nor John and Mary Massengale in the 1850 census. Might Talitha be an older daughter of John and Mary? I notice that Anderson Co. has quite a few Massengales and Duncans and wonder if these people might have ties to that county. Is anyone familiar with any of these people?
