Does anyone have any info on the rather large
McKamey clan of Anderson County. It seems from the 1880 census that almost all McKamey's in Tennessee at that time were in Anderson County.
My GG-grandfather was William McKamey (b. TN), who lived in Bristol, Sullivan Co., TN, married to Ida Rogers, with their son George Eugene McKamey (b. 1882 Bristol, TN). There were apparently no McKamey's in Sullivan Co. in 1880.
He may have been the same William McKamey who was in Anderson Co. (b.1861).
I'm trying to find info on this family.
