Need information on the family of FIELDING BELL (ca. 1789-1854, Bedford Co., TN). Did he leave a will? Can anyone provide me with a copy or a record of the settlement of his estate.
I reconstruction of his family using the census records (1820-WCT)(1830-50-Bedford) shows that he had a rather large family: three sons known: Thomas H., Joel Allen, and Lewis H.
He was a son of George Bell (d. 1818) and wife, Franky.
I am questioning the statements that this Fielding was named Robert Fielding Bell. I have made a copy of the original George Bell will of 1818...and the soms are listed as Fielding, John, Robert Jackson (or Robert, Jackson). George names his executors as sons FIELDING and JOHN.
Researchers also say that George and Franky had a son James
who married Sophia Grissom...and this couple (married 1808, TN) had sons Reason, FIELDING, ALLEN, James, John, Rowland, J. Hezekiah, Martin, Andrew and Tilden.
