I've recently read the latest book from Tommy V. Swafford:

"the Swafford-Tollett Feud"

its Great! A thorough account of Tennessee's version of the famed Hatfields & McCoys...the Swaffords & Tolletts & their "bloody encounters" over several decades.

i've known of this feud since a Nashville,(TN)Banner (newspaper) article in the mid-60s & have been intrigued by this bit of history ever since.

thanks to Tommy Swafford, we now know the reasons behind this chapter in TN history (and Swafford folklore).
