Hi JoAnn,
I was wondering if this John Howard Manning was a general?
My Husband is Howard Manning Bryant, Jr. His father, the Sr., was supposedly named after a General Manning. Howard Bryant, Sr's grandmother, Eliza Jane Robinson/Robertson was born in Bledsoe Co., TN in about 1850. Her parents were Elizabeth (Eliza) and James Robinson/Robertson. I'm wondering if there might be a connection to this Manning family. Thanks for any info. Kathy Jo Bryant
