Hi Melissa:
Just saw your Posting No. 278 and thought that you might be able to assist me in finding a clew to my TURNER ancestors.
Please refer to my Posting No. 281. I am looking for any information pertaining to: my father, Dayton Lee TURNER; my grandfather, John G. TURNER and his wife, Mary Elizabeth McCUTCHEON; and my great grandfather, (Unknown) TURNER and his wife, (probably Harriett E. MILLER).
Before 1874, I believe that my great grandfather, (Unknown) TURNER, may have lived in Bledsoe County, TN, with his wife, Harriett E. MILLER???, and son, John G. TURNER.
My grandfather, John G. TURNER, was born on 24 Mar 1872 in Tennessee (probably Bledsoe County).
I also believe that the marriage was disolved shortly after the birth of John G.; either through divorce or (Unknown) may have died (probably in Bledsoe County).
Harriett E. and John G. appear in the 1880 US Census living in St. Genevieve County, MO, living with her new husband, W. J. Counts.
I would appreciate very much any assistance you can provide. Hopefully, Bledsoe County records will offer some information pertaining to the existence of (Unknown), Harriett E. and/or John G. prior to 1874.
