I'm looking for info on the parents of Jefferson C. Rogers, who was born somewhere in TN in 1820. In 1850, he was in Bledsoe Co., TN, with his wife, Nancy Adaline Carder Rogers, and their three children, James M., 2 1/2, and twins, David F. and Ephriam Hicks, 2 months old. Ephraim Hicks Rogers was my grandfather. DNA testing has shown I descend from Doswell (Dauswell?) Rogers, and I have indications the line might come from william Perry Rogers, who came from Virginia to Bledsoe County, TN, some time before JC's birth. Does anyone have a Jefferson C. Rogers in a line descending from this gentleman or anyone else in the Doswell Rogers line?
Any help appreciated. (I've only been seeking JC's parents for some 25 years now.)
