Blount Co marriage records show George RAY marrying Elizabeth Hufman on 20 Mar 1819. I feel confident that this George RAY is George ROY - a common occurance is to transcribe RAY for ROY. Also, about this time, a William ROY witnessed a deed in Blount Co in 1814. William may be the father of George as both of these individuals migrated to St. Francis Co, AR. George Roy stopped in Marion Co, TN to appear on the 1830 Census. Jacob Huffman, also appearing on the marriage records of Blount Co, accompanies George & Elizabeth Roy to both Marion Co, TN and St. Francis Co, AR.
If anyone with knowledge of the Roy or Huffman families that lived in Blount Co TN, Marion Co TN, and/or St. Francis Co, AR please contact me.
