John "Jack" Fletcher WALTON

I am searching for information rgarding John "Jack" Fletcher WALTON.

John "Jack" Fletcher WALTON was born in Jackson County, Alabama on 10 October 1832. His parents are listed on his Tarrant County, Texas death certificate, of 5 Feb 1913, as W.W. WALTON and Rosa SARTON (mother's name is not totally legible) who were born in Kentucky.

John "Jack" Fletcher WALTON married Lucinda ERWIN (b. about 1828, McMinn Co., TN) who was the daughter of William M. and Elizabeth "Betty" STANTON ERWIN. The marriage occurred on 22 Jul 1856 in McMinn County.

John and Lucinda had at least three of their six children in McMinn County: Alfred Byington (1858-1910); Sarah E. (1860-1936); and Amanda or "Manda" (b. 1862). The couple had two unidentified children and another child, my g-grandmother Clementine or "Climmy" who was born in Jackson County, Alabama, about 1865.

John F. WALTON served as a private in the Third Tennessee Infantry, Provisional Army of the Confederacy from 22 Apr 1862 through the Fall Of Vicksburg in July 1863. He was parolled after capture and did not report back to his unit when released from parole.

It is assumed that John and Lucinda ERWIN WALTON removed their family from McMinn County between 1862 (birth of "Manda" in McMinn County) and 1865 (Birth of Clementine in Jackson County, AL).

I have extensive information regarding the ancestors of Lucinda ERWIN but, the only information regarding the parents of John F. WALTON comes from his death certificate.

I don't know if John F. WALTON came to McMinn County with his parents or as a single man. I don't know if he had siblings and I don't know when or where the two unidentified children of this couple were born.

Any information regarding John "Jack" Fletcher WALTON would be greatly appreciated.
