There is a Woody DNA project that needs your help. We need more male Woodys to participate. The project is discussed on the website http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~woodydnaproject/index.htm
The information gathered is only good for genealogical purposes. The DNA collected for this project is not kind of DNA information used by law enforcement, or for medical or insurance purposes and your identity will not be shown with the results.
As you will see on the website, the DNA signatures for the various Woody families are proving distinctive, particularly so for the descendants of John Woody from Maryland/North Carolina. We need more participants for all the Woody lines but as a descendant of John Woody (MD/NC) by his son James, I am particularly interested in getting more of our family to join.
