I believe that Elizabeth WHITLEY/WHITELEY b-abt. 1795 TN or NC. is the wife of Joseph WHITELEY b- abt.1798 NC.
They had a daughter name Martha -b-Jan. 18, 1819 NC.

I think that Elizabeth WHITLEY is Elizabeth GANNON possible sister to Martha GANNON b-abt. 1787 NC. But...I am not sure that GANNON is Martha's maiden name, could be her married name, so that would leave Martha and Elizabeth with a different maiden name.
1860 Cannon Co. TN. Woodbury, census Joseph is living with Martha GANNON.
Same yr. Elizabeth is living with daughter Martha WHITLEY/WHITELEY STEPHENS.
It is also my thought that Elizabeth passed away in 1860 and was probably living with her daughter and son in law Elijah and Martha STEPHENS because of her health and Joseph also passed away in 1860 and was living with his sister or sister in law Martha GANNON in Woodbury Cannon Co, TN.
