Hello PATTERSON cousins and researchers; I am compiling a PATTERSON Ancestry Lineage for my first cousins, PATTERSONS. (5 sons of Tracy Lee Patterson and Sybil Annette MARBLE). I would like to share what I have already compiled, (sources and references at Roots Web Database). He married LATHANA KERSEY July 27, 1841 in Cannon County, Tennessee, daughter of JOHN KERSEY. She was born March 25, 1825 in Virginia, and died December 08, 1883 in Cannon County, Tennessee. Hale's Half Acre Farm, State Route, 146, near Short Mountain, Cannon County, Tennessee, West of the De Kalb, County line. This is a Century Farm, 100 years of continuous agricultural production, State of Tennessee, Department of Agriculture. Half Acre Farm is Cannon County's oldest farm established in 1823 by John Patterson. Enoch Patterson, was the next owner of the land, along with his wife, Luthania Kirsey Patterson. Enoch, Luthania and their ten children raised the same crops and livestock that the previous owner, his father, John E. Patterson had done. LaThana is buried on their old farm in Cannon County just before you cross over the Dekalb County line. Old her old tombstone (a new one has been installed) her name is written LaThana. Various spellings of name: Luthania Kirsey, Lethany, LaThana, Thaney Kersey. Religion: Short Mountain Methodist Church, Cannon County, Tennessee Children of ENOCH PATTERSON and LATHANA KERSEY are: (1) FRANCES E. PATTERSON was born Abt. 1847 in Tennessee. She married WILLIAM M. BLANTON May 18, 1868 in Cannon County, Tennessee, son of JOHN BLANTON and MARY GUNTER. He was born 1848 in Tennessee. (2) EMILY T. PATTERSON was born Abt. 1848 in Tennessee. Their is a marriage record of an Emily K. Paterson, Spouse: W. L. FOSTER, Marriage: 26 JUL 1865, Cannon, Tennessee. (3) ENOCH M. JR. PATTERSON was born 1850 in Tennessee. He married CHARLOTTE ANN LASTER October 20, 1876 in DeKalb County, Tennessee. She was born December 29, 1854 in Tennessee, and died October 24, 1912. Charlotte Ann Patterson is buried at Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery, Half Acre, Cannon County, Tennessee. (4) THOMAS EUGENE PATTERSON was born Abt. 1859 in McMinnville, Warren County, Tennessee. He married (1) LOU DORA BURGER September 09, 1884 in Cannon County, Tennessee. He married (2) MELISSA C. May 26, 1891 in Cannon County, Tennessee. (5) MARY PATTERSON was born Abt. 1861 in Tennessee. (6) ANDREW "ANDY" BURR3 PATTERSON was born May 15, 1863 in Cannon County, Tennessee, and died December 05, 1935 in Mechanicsville, DeKalb County, Tennessee. He married SUSAN L. MELTON July 03, 1887 in Cannon County, Tennessee, daughter of JOHN MELTON and RUTHA BURGER. She was born 1865. Andrew Burr Patterson is buried at Melton Cemetery, Cannon County, Tennessee. (7) SARAH E.3 PATTERSON (ENOCH M2, JOHN E.1) was born July 29, 1865 in Short Mountain, Cannon County, Tennessee, and died March 07, 1934 in Short Mountain, Cannon County, Tennessee. She married JAMES COOPER MELTON September 04, 1887 in Cannon County, Tennessee, son of JOHN MELTON and RUTHA BURGER. He was born May 04, 1869 in Cannon County, Tennessee, and died November 10, 1932 in Cannon County, Tennessee. James Cooper Melton is buried at Melton Cemetery, Cannon County, Tennessee (8) HARRIET L.
