I am seeking information about my great grandfather, Joseph Guss, who moved to Woodbury with his wife Mary Elizabeth Critser Guss from Rennsalear Indiana (year unk). They came becasue a sister of Mary lived in Woodbury. He died or was killed in Woodbury and presumably is buried in Woodbury. After his death, Mary, accompanied with a young African American girl, Mary Pinkerton, returned to Rennsalear, IN until their deaths. There was a very close relationship becauee Mary Elizabeth and Mary are buried side by side in Rennsalear.
I will be in Woodbury Monday & Tuesday on Sept, 24 & 25 so if anyone has any information I would most appreciae it.
