Allen Haley was one of the first settlers around Nashville, Tn. He moved at the corner of the county, and had the largest tree in the south. He layed out Cannon Co., Tn.; as it is today. He moved, and lived around Woodbury, Tn. area, and had a large family. I've never found out what happen to Allen Haley. He is listed in Tn. history; but by reading information of the Haley Genealogy in the area/it appears he never existed. Allen had a large family, wealthy, and land owner; he was the first Haley in the area. I figured the Haley's in the area lost him thru the ages, family bibles usually starts at a new marrige. I figured Allen Haley's Family Bible is lost, or collection dust in a attic in another state. Cannon Co. Historians find him, and publish him. Gerald Barnell Fowler
