Looking for parents and spouses. I am thinking his father might be George (b. abt 1788 in NC) found on 1850 Hardeman Co, TN next door to an apparently widowed James and his sons William (b. abt 1838 TN) and Joseph(my line, b. abt 1840 TN). George is also on the 1830 & 1840 Carter Co., TN census.
James pops up next on the 1860 Polk Co., AR census married to 'Althea' with a crop of children younger than 8 years plus Joseph, who is still living with his father and William who has married Roxanna Harrison from Polk County and is living in his own home there.
James is not on the 1880 Census in Arkansas, while my Joseph has moved on to Titus Co., TX with wife Margarett and my great-great grandmother Mary Ann, b. 1870 in TX.
Any info will be appreciated. Thanks- Vic
