Connie, The surnames from your area,Hider,Hyder,Hale,Walker,Vandever,and Cordell from ga. I am told live in and around Carter,Bledsoe,and Cumberland. I haven't been able to find Thomas Elisha Hider,death?burial? I found him with his parents,Alford and Arvanza Hale Hider,on 1860 census,and then nothing.Zilla Cordell,(I am told is his wife)shows up in Cumberland Co.,on the 1880 census,as widow,head of house. I can't find my Thomas,I have posted in all the neighboring counties.I know he did exist,I saw his name as my grandfathers father. I would like to take a flower to his grave.
