This is what I have for parents of William Manuel DUGGER... or at least his mother:
CHARLOTTE M. ASHER b. Jan 1842 in Johnson Co. TN; daughter of John Ellet ASHER and Louisa Eliza ESTEP. She married 5 Nov 1861 Benjamin S. DUGGER who was killed in the Civil War in 1865; she apparently remarried to Elijah BUNTON [no information]. Charlotte was listed as Charlotte Dugger in 1880 & 1900 census Carter Co. TN.. mother's information 1900 census: widow, 7 children/5 living.
I have William Manuel DUGGER as possible son of Elijah BUNTON and Charlotte M. ASHER. He married 1st Nancy Adaline HICKS b. 1876 d. 1893 d/o David Hicks & Sarah Shell; 2n to Martha V. GOODWIN on 21 May 1895 carter co. and 3rd Martha "Sissy" DUGGER before 1900.

I have Bessie C. STOUT b. Feb 1894 NC dau of John Abraham STOUT b. Sep 1862 VA/NC; d. 1937 Carter Co. TN and his wife Rebecca Ann GUY b. Apr 1872 Watauga Co. NC d. about 1919 Watauga Co. NC. John & Rebecca married 31 May 1893 Watauga Co. NC.
John A. Stout was the son of ISAAC STOUT b. abt 1815 NC and wife Sarah.
