re; atkinson cemetary on river road.
the cemetery you are looking for was located just inside the cheatham county line on river road. the cemetery was leveled in the 1960's and a metal commercial building was placed over the gravesites.
but, there is another cemetery just inside the county line
coming from the davidson county side into cheatham county
you will go aprox. 500 feet and the cemetery is on the right had side of the road inside a chain link fence.
this cemetery sits next to the hood family home.
i am not sure what the name of this cemetery is.
i do know where the allen cemetary is just 1 mile within the county on river road.
