There was no Chester County until it was formed from parts of Madison, Henderson, and Mcnairy Counties in the 1870's. Try Henderson County. There were some Barnes residing in the Mifflin and Middlefork Communities, that is now part of Chester County, TN. Your Ancestors could be listed in Henderson County; the early records were lost since the courthouse in Lexington burned three times.
