Hello Kim,
Thank you for your sesponse. I will do some research re Jenny as possibly daughter of Pinkston and Ada Parker. I recall the name Pinkston from earlier research and will look over my notes. What was your grandfather's name? I may be able to shed some light if lucky. I am sure my father knew many of your family members. He took me to the old Parker Cemetery when I was a little boy and he was doing some volunteer research for a Parker researcher in N.C. I think this was the beginning of my real interest in genealogy and local history.
Does your family have story of former slave, Aunt Emmaline Parker? She was much beloved in the community and led a very well thought of family. My father and the other boys often had sleep overs with Aunt Emmaline's sons. She was an important part of his childhood.
