As far as I now know, none of our ROGERS connected to the HICKS line.

The HICKS in my maternal line of DAVIDSONS were out of Montgomery Co. NC and they migrated into Hickman Co. TN then into McNairy and maybe Chester too. But my paternal line of ROGERS had no surnames of HICKS that I am aware of.

The only JEFFERSON we have listed is a nickname given to our BASIL JASPER ROGERS who went by nickname of "JEFF" and he was born in 1830 Carroll Co. TN.

Now, our William L. Rogers b. 1770 Montgomery Co. NC had migrated to Carroll Co. TN in 1823 and lived on his land for about 11 years before he then bought it from RADFORD WALKER of WILSON CO. TN. I haven't done much on the WALKER line but do know the surname of WALKER were also neighbors of William L. Rogers when he lived in Montgomery Co.NC and that they were his CHAIN CARRIERS too on his resurvey of the ROGERS lands in NC in 1804, however we don't know if RADFORD WALKER of WILSON CO. TN is any kinship to the WALKERS of Montgomery Co. NC.

Our Rogers are now DNA TESTED and shows many ROGERS groups that they matched in both NC and SC and some in TN that also went into MO later on. So far we can't figure out how we all connect to the line of a JOHN ROGERS b. 1617 England to Jamestown VA line that is also in Surry Co. VA later on as we don't have paper trails on any of our ROGERS lines back that far, but the person who did have her paper trail back to this JAMESTOWN VA and SURRY CO. VA line of ROGERS is our DNA match to our many ROGERS groups.

As far as I know our ROGERS left Montgomery Co. NC in 1823 and turn up in Carroll Co. TN beginning by about late 1823 and are all on the 1830 Carroll Co. TN census then. Most stayed in Carroll or surrounding counties to Carroll ( Benton, and maybe Henry, so I am not sure we had any of our ROGERS in Bledsoe or Wilson Co's TN.

Tina
