Yesterday I ran across a letter written by Charles H. Southern to my uncle Fred Jones. The letter is dated Jan. 12, 1923.
Charles was living at the time in East Vaughn, New Mexico. He had a wife and a son 16 months old. He had been to school with Fred at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate. I notice on the Southern forum that there were Southerns living in Claiborne County at some time or other.
I don't want to give away the letter but I would be happy to xerox it and the envelope. The typing on the letter is faint but I'd hope it might xerox successfully.
