Need help in breaking down a brick wall. I have searched for years for information on my Great-Grandfather, Squire Wells. He was born approximately in 1828. He died approximately 1858, in Lee County, VA. He married Julia Ann Henegar from Wythe Co., VA.
They had the following children: Eli, Sophia, Charles Henderson (My grandfather) and Squire Jr. All the children were born between 1850-1859 in Lee Co., VA.
After Squire Sr. death, Julia Ann married a G. W. Russell and she and the rest of the family moved to Claiborne Co., TN.
When Squire Sr. was about 20 - years old he was living in Lee Co., VA. with a Jackson family, his last name was spelled "Wills" instead of "Wells."
I'm also very interested in information about Julia Ann Wells Russell and her children before they died. Julia Ann Russell may have died around 1907.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
