We are having a family reunion for the descendants and extended families of Lando BOLES and Ola Brown Boles in Noblesville, Indiana on July 17, 2004. All extended family members -- descendants of their brothers and sisters, their cousins -- are all heartily invited. Lando Boles was born to J.L. (aka Orlando or Sun) BOLES and his wife Eliza LYNN BOLES in Clay (or Jackson) County, Tennessee in 1883. We are actively researching to find the parents of J.L. (Orlando or Sun) BOLES - born 1863 in Tennessee and died Clay County, TN in 1919. I am only sure of two sibling - John b. 1854 married to America Ann and Mary Etta b. 1856 m. John WARREN -- but I am sure there were other brothers and sisters. John w/America Ann, J.L. (Orlando or Sun) and Mary E. w/ John Warren were all living in Jefferson County, Illinois in 1880 but all were born in TN to Tennessee born parents. All connections welcome. Eliza LYNN (b. 1867, Jackson County, TN) was a descendant of Asa LYNN; her parents were William W. LYNN and Emmeline MANSELL LYNN. Lando's siblings included (we may be missing a couple): John L., Martha, Sam (aka Big Sam), William Bedford (aka Bed), Livie Lee (married Napoleon "Poley" Brown), Mary, Annie, Linnie Mae, Joe, Alan, Minnie Myrtle (married Charlie Burke), and Baltie BOLES. All born in Clay County, TN between 1882 and 1907. Ola BROWN was the daughter of Thomas BROWN and Emma DITMORE BROWN; she was born in Fannin County Georgia in 1889 (or thereabouts --- SSDI DOB is slightly different than tombstone). Thomas W. and Emma Ditmore Brown moved their family from Georgia to Clay County, near Celina, Tennessee in 1899 where Thomas died that same year. Ola's siblings were Warren "Arg," Napoleon F. "Poley," John "Johnny", Rufus, Boston C. "Boss" and Bessie BROWN. Thomas W. BROWN's parents were John Wesley and Nancy BROWN -- they both came from Cherokee County, NC. His sisters were Mary Catherine m. Robert THOMPSON, Amanda m. Benjamin F. GREEN (and a later remarriage after being widowed unfortunately, unknown), Matilda m. LEDFORD, Martha m. Rufus ARP, Elizabeth and Altha Bollin who both married Larkin CEARLEY (Altha died young and her sister married her widower), Hilah Hulda m. George W. CEARLEY, and Frances M "Frankie" who's eventual marriage is unknown. His brothers were Alfred (also spelled Alford) Patton BROWN b. 1839 who married Hester Ann SHEPHERD and Thaddeus S. BROWN born about 1861 about whose marriage and siblings we are blank. Emma (Emmeline) DITMORE b. 1850 was the daughter of Vincent Gary and Mary Ann MANNERY DITMORE of McMinn Co. TN >>Cherokee County, NC. Lando and Ola Brown (called Mammy) Boles' children were: Herman b. 1906, Ruby b. 1907 married Jim C. HULL, Truman b. 1911, Pearlie b. 1913 married Champ GOOLSBY, Martin b. 1916, Ruth Bell b. 1918 married William PIGG, Will Ed b. 1920, twins Vester and Estes b. 1922, Emma b. 1924, and William (Always called Bill) b. 1925. If you're related and would like to attend, please contact me via email for information -- or just contact me to say hi. The more cousins the better.
