Martha Cannon was born about 1793/1794 in Greenville District, SC, to Russell Cannon and Jane Campbell. She married William Brown after 1824, perhaps in Pickens District, SC. In the 1850 census they were the Eighth Civil District of Coffee County, Tennessee, p. 72, household 996, family 1013:

William Brown 54 M W Farmer $100 Tenn. (b c 1796)
Martha " 57 F W S.C. (b c 1793)
William " 18 M W Laborer Tenn. (b c 1832)
Thomas " 15 M W Laborer Tenn. (b c 1835)
Nancy " 12 F W Tenn. (b c 1838)

Were these children born to Martha or to a first wife of William? What became of them? Who were William's parents? Is William the Wm S. Brown in the 1840 Census of Coffee Co., TN, p. 187: 1100001; 1012001?

The William Brown in Pickens District, SC in the 1830 census does not fit Martha Cannon & William Brown.

William died about 1850/1852, and Martha went to Grayson Co., Texas, with her brother, Elijah Cannon, to help rear his children. She died 6 March 1885 in Grayson Co. and is buried in the Cannon Cemetery there.
