I just received my copies of "Cemeteries and Tombstone Inscriptions of Coffee County, Tennessee" yesterday.
I looked up the two George W. Thompson's listed and here is what I found:
George W. Thompson b. Jun 22, 1793 d. Oct 4th 1849.
- Inscription: "In Memory Of"
George W. Thompson, Jr. b. Sept 8, 1820 d. Oct 5, 1840
- Inscription: "In Memory Of"
Charlotte Smith Thompson b. Mar 30, 1794 d. May 25, 1855
- Inscription: Wife of G. W. Thompson" "In Memory Of"
They are buried in the Thompson Graveyard. None of them match your birth/death dates. However they were the only two with the correct names in the book. Sorry if it doesn't help, was hopeful it would be the right one for you.
If it would help, I can type up a list of all of the cemeteries that begin with B, perhaps one of the names might ring a bell.
I am certain the books are not 100% inclusive, however at about 1200 printed pages, it is a massive undertaking and is a fantastic resource.
