Looking for connections with anyone researching the Huffman, Miles or Lindsy (Lindsay/Lindsey) family lines in the Tullahoma/Manchester areas. Also in surrounding counties of Franklin, Lincoln, Moore and Bedford.
Here is a quick break down of the relatives I am looking for more information on. I am also looking for ties in to other branches of the family.
My great grandmother was Mary J. Huffman.
She was born about 1912, in or around Tullahoma.
Her parents were John W. Huffman and Emma D (Batson?)Huffman.
During the early 1920's they lived on Grizzard Street in Tullahoma.
My great grandfather was Samuel Jones Miles.
He was born August 13th, 1900, in or around Tullahoma.
His parents were Thomas Miles and Nannie (Nancy?) Watkins.
Thomas Miles (Jr) was born about 1858, died in 1918.
Thomas Miles parents were Thomas Miles, Sr and Polly (Mary?) Lindsy.
Nannie Watkins Miles remarried after Thomas Miles, Jr's death
She married Lee Banks in Madison County, Alabama in late 1918.
Samuel Miles and Mary Huffman Miles had two children:
Samuel Jones Miles, Jr born 4/14/1928, Tullahoma
William Edward Lee Miles born 3/8/1930, Tullahoma died 11/17/2005, Melbourne, Florida.
Samuel Miles had a previous wife Annie (Nannie?) Watwood Miles.
She was born about 1900 in Madison County, Alabama.
Sam Miles had three children by her.
George W. Miles born about 1923
Dorothy Miles born about 1920
Nellie Alleen Miles born Jan 1925 Died Feb 27th 1925, Tullahoma
After Samuel Miles, Sr's death Oct 28th 1930 Mary Huffman Miles remarried
Mary Huffman Miles married R. J. Carroll Nov 26th 1930, in Tullahoma
