Burrell's oldest daughter Sarah Elizabeth Ward married John Hardy Pope-- she is my gg-grandmother.
Burrell Jr's parents were Burrell Ward Sr. b. 21 Jun 1774-1776 Glasgow Co, NC, d. 14 Jun 1856-1865 in Rutherford or Bedford Co TN; and Naomy b. abt 1776 NC, d. 1 Dec 1835. They are buried in Ward Cemetery, Rover, Bedford Co, TN.

He married (1) LAVONIA CATHERINE COOPER Abt. 1838 in Bedford or Coffee Co, TN. She was born 04 Aug 1823 in NC or TN, and died Aug 1862 in TN. He married (2) ELIZABETH EASLEY 31 Jan 1864 in Coffee Co, TN, daughter of GEORGE EASLEY and RACHAEL. She was born 1830 in Coffee Co, TN, and died 1868 in Manchester, Coffee, TN. Siblings are listed as: William b. 1820, Lafayette b. 1822, Allen b. 1824, Mary b. 1826, Susan b. 1827, Caroline b. 1828. (another record also has Eliza b. 1825.) Lavonia Catherine Cooper, b. 4 aug 1823, d. Aug 1862. All births in Bedford Co TN.
This does not appear to be the same Charles Cooper who married Sarah Brooks and resided in Bedford Co-- he died in 1823 and had children Abraham, John, Maria, Matilda, Malinda, William, Adeline, & Elizabeth.
