Looking for my ancestor's family. Here is what I know about my Great Great Great Great Grandmother Christina Youngblood. I am curious to see if she may be a sister to an Isaiah I. Youngblood who was the Baptist Minister at my Great Great Great Great Grandfather William Throop, Jr., 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Smith in 1839? What I know is this: BIRTH Per census records or her children (may not be accurate) it states that Christina was born in South Carolina. However other census records of her children state her birth place as Tennessee, Illinois and Kentucky. It's an estimate that she was born in 1798. MARRIAGE Christina married on 17 Mar 1819 in Davidson County, TN to William Throop, Jr. I've seen the marriage record and it does not make any mention of who her parents are, and I don't even remember if there was a minister or anything listed as officiating the wedding, which may or may not mean anything on a potential connection to Isiah. It is said that Isaiah I. Youngblood on this board went to Tennessee for a while? CHILDREN Christina and William Throop had 6 children as far as I'm aware of: Eliza (b. in 1820) Caleb (b. in 1822) Jasper (b. between 1820 and 1825) all three born in Davidson County, TN Mary (b. in 1828) Sena (b. in 1830) Lawrence (b. in 1833) all three born in Du Quoin, Perry County, IL DEATH Christina apparently died Bet. 13 Apr 1835 - 07 Apr 1839. There is a record of her being alive on April 13, 1835, and then she apparently died sometime between that date and when William Throop, Jr. remarried Elizabeth (as stated above) on April 7, 1839. I know it could be coincidence that William would have a Youngblood as a minister at his second marriage considering his first wife was a Youngblood but it has me suspicious wondering if Christina might be a sister to Isiah? I see some old posts on this board where it sounds like some people out there know a LOT about Isaiah, but couldn't find anything saying if he had a sister Christina or not. If there is no connection but someone else has a connection to my Christina Youngblood I'd love to know. I have no idea who Christina's parents are, there is even a thought that she may have been Native American, which is entirely possible to! If anyone out there can help me identify her parents, I would really appreciate it! Respectfully, Kevin Strattan Notify Administrator about this message?
