Need parents of JULIA ANN STEELE. B: ca 1844 Tenn. M. 1868 in Fayette Co. Tenn to John Alexander McCharen. In Pontotoc Co. MS by 1870, where she died ca 1921. The family said her name was Julia Ann Green, and "was an orphan." A Julia Steel, age 7, is on 1850 Dekalb Co. TN census with John Steel, age 64, Mahala Steele, age 57, and Amanda Steele, age 11. On 1860 census, DeKalb Co. census there is Julia A. Steel, age 14, in household of Elias Green, age 56, wife ? age 54, son? Reuben H. and another son, age 21. What is the connection? Was she adopted by this family or related to them? Have info and will share on "Ann McCharen, wife of John Alexander McCharen."
