I'm not trying to confuse you, but I found this interesting. I was following your earlier posts and did a Google search for Camp Gillem and found the following posted June 21, 2001 on the Winnett family genforum post 38 of 200. Looks like there was more than one Camp Gillem? Do you know the Springfield area east of I-24 north of Nashville? Robertson County.
The following children of Norman & Rebecca WINNETT are as follows.......................
1.)Thomas WINNETT born c1806-Iredell,N.C. died between the 1880 & 1900 Census-Cannon,TN. He married c1831-Warren(later became Cannon),TN. to Christian(PHILLIPS),daughter of James PHILLIPS.
2.)Elizabeth WINNETT born c1808-Iredell,N.C. died 12 MAY 1867-Marion,TN.(Buried in Summitt Cemetery in Dade,GA.) She married c1827-Warren(later became Cannon),TN. to John KEEF,son of Reuben & Margaret(LEWIS)KEEF.
3.)Jacob Jos.{I'm not sure if Jos. is an abriviation for Joseph or Joshua}WINNETT born c1810-Iredell,N.C. died between 1885 & 1900-Coffee,TN.(Buried in Hopewell Cemetery in Coffee,TN.)He married (1st) c1829-Warren(later became Cannon),TN. to Frances"Fanny"(?LYNN?)& (2nd) on 24 JULY 1885-Coffee,TN. to the widow Mrs. Elizabeth J. MANIS.
4.)John WINNETT born c1812-Madison,KY. died between the 1870 & 1880 Census-Cannon,TN. He married c1833-Warren(later became Cannon),TN. to Lucinda(unknown).
5.)Tabitha WINNETT born c1814-Warren(later became Cannon),TN. died c1906-Prentiss,Mississippi She married 27 DEC.1842-Cass,GA. to Andrew Jackson PHILLIPS,son of James PHILLIPS.
6.)<unknown female> born between 1815 & 1820-Warren(Cannon),TN. died/married after the 1830 Census.
7.)Jane WINNETT born c1818-Warren(Cannon),TN. died between the 1880 & 1900 Census-Marion,TN. She married 18 JULY 1841-Cass,GA. to Jesse KEEF,son of Reuben & Margaret(LEWIS)KEEF.
8.)Andrew J. WINNETT [Pvt.,Co."A",13th Reg't. GA. Cav.,C.S.A.] born c1820-Warren(Cannon),TN. died about MAY 1864-Cass,GA. He married c1843-Warren,TN. to Mary F.(unknown).
9.)George W. WINNETT [Pvt.,Co."B",10th Reg't. TN. Cav.,U.S.A.] born c1822-Warren(Cannon),TN. died 27 APR.1864-Hospital Rest House at Camp Gillem,Springfield,Robertson Co.,TN.{he was buried the same day near the Camp}He married on 2 JAN.1840-Cass,GA. to Elizabeth(MITCHELL),daughter of Ebenezer MITCHELL.
10.)William WINNETT [Pvt.,Co."A",13th Reg't. GA. Cav.,C.S.A.] born c1824-Warren(Cannon),TN. died after 1870 Census-?Warrior,AL.? He married on 2 SEP.1842-Cass,GA. to Minerva Ann(HAWKINS/HANKINS).
11.)Mark WINNETT born c1826-Warren(Cannon),TN. died after the 1860 Census-?Bartow,GA.?
12.)Elkanah Luke WINNETT [Pvt.,Co."H",1st Reg't. GA. Cav.,C.S.A.] born c1828-Warren(Cannon),TN. died 23 AUG.1864-Rock Island Confederate Prison,Rock Island Co.,Illinois(Buried in Rock Island Confederate Cemetery Grave #1443,Rock Island Co.,Illinois) He married on 24 DEC.1854-Cass,GA. to Martha Ann(SORRELL),daughter of Micajah & Charity(LOWE)SORRELL.
