There was a David Abernathy, from Giles, Co. Tn. that moved to Gibson, Co. Tn. about 1820/? he was a vet. check DAR in Gibson, Co. Tn. for more info. there were 2 Abernathy, familys that moved to Giles, Co. around 1800 they married into each others family's now they are all kin and you are kin to them. Go into Genforum Abernathy's and post a message.
My Abernathy's are from : Dr. Charles Clayton Abernathy, born July 1790 in Brunswick, Co. Va.
Wife was : Susannah Waddy Harris, born Nov. 1800.
All moved to Giles, Co. Tn.
Their daug. was a Mary Ann Abernathy, born in 1818 and married a Alfred Harris Eason, born 1812. Their daug. was a
Mariah Louisa Eason, born 1841 she married a William Henry
Scott, born 1834. They moved to Haywood, Co. Tn. a place called Dancyville. Their daug. a Callie Lee Scott, born 1876
married a Leonidus Osborn McDaniel, born 1857 she moved to Forrest City, Ark. to his home. In a book on Abernathy : one of the old researchs said that all Abernathy's are kin.
This is on my mothers side. On my dad side his grandfather was a Elam Richardson, he moved to Madison / Crockett, Co. around 1867 his brother a Thomas Jefferson Richardson, married a Mary Jane Parker in Madison, Co. and the Parker's and Richardson's Jenkins, moved to Dyer, Co. Tn. some went to Ark., Texas , Mo.
