I did not personally know Mr and Mrs Collins, but do remember the auto parts business. Perhaps you could get some information from someone mentioned in this obituary. There is a picture made inside the business at the Tennesse State Library at their website.

Douglas L. Fowler Sr., 89, of Kirby Pines, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008.
He was longtime employee of J.M. Collins in Dyersburg, a member of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Family Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Mary Longmire Fowler; a son, Douglas L. Fowler Jr. of Austin, Texas; two stepdaughters, Martha Doyle and Kay Reed; a sister, June Padilla of California; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren
