My GGGrandfather, James Madison Allen, was born in TN on April 7, 1811 according to a family bible. His parents evidently moved to Missouri when he was quite young. He died in Cedar County, MO March 27, 1851. I have been searching for his parents and siblings for many years. Recently I heard of a book that may have information to help me with my research.
The book title is: "The Allens of Moscow and La Grange, Fayette County, Tennessee and related families", by Elizabeth Allen Moore and Mary Elizabeth Allen, 1980.
Appreciate very much where I might find copies of the book or any other information that might help me with my research.
