The Joseph Bakeman in the 1830 Fentress Co, TN census appears to be the same person as Joseph Beckman in the 1840 Overton Co, TN census. One who appears to be his son, Joseph Beckman (Jr.) is also enumerated in the 1840 Overton and 1850 Overton censuses.
