I'm William Leandrew Cecil Smith (Andy) b. 1968 with two brothers by my father.
My father is William Lee Smith b. 1943, and he has a sister (my aunt) Joan Marie Smith-Hoover b. 1946.
My father had an Aunt Winnie, married to "Uncle Clurry", and my dad had to live with extended family. As I understand it, my father's mother had died when he was young, and my father's father had problems with alcohol, and was 'a mean drunk'.
I understand I have a great deal of family in Fentress County, unfortunately I do not remember names. I hope something in what I've said sounds familiar to someone, and can help me research my family line on my father's side. My next stop is TN vital records, but I'll still be back here trying to tie the names on the record to someone else who happens to has the genealogy, and maybe a few family stories.
Thank you for your time. Vital statistics are one side of genealogy, the other side would be the understanding of just who these names and dates were. Even if I can get the vital stats, I would really like to know who my grandparents were.
